Kenneth James Scott Thursday March 3rd 2022

SCOTT, Kenneth James –
I, Bonnie, am deeply saddened to announce my beloved husband Ken, passed away in the early morning of Thursday, March 3, 2022, at the age of 75, with me by his side, at Etobicoke General Hospital. He fought a courageous battle for four years with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and recently with Heart Failure. He was the dearest son of the late Douglas Scott and Dorothy Scott (nee McCarthy), and a special nephew to his Aunt Ollie. Alan and Gladys Marvin cherished every moment spent with Ken and he was loved for his kind, gentle and quick wit to all the Marvin family. He was admired for his knowledge to be able to fix just about anything someone was having a problem with and if he didn’t, he would read up on it until he figured it out. He was born in Toronto and when he was six months old, the family moved to Mount Royal, Montreal. He enjoyed summers spent at their cottage in Lachute, Quebec swimming and water skiing. In his late teens he built himself a small boat. He started to earn the beginning of his savings by doing chores for his dad and helping their neighbours out cutting lawns and other tasks. In the late 60’s, the family moved back to Toronto and many wonderful times were spent with the McCarthy family. He was a dedicated, hard worker at Christie’s Bakery as a machine captain for 27 years and retired in 2008. We were “happy campers” for many years and enjoyed time spent at our trailer. Over the years we met so many wonderful people and enjoyed campfires, dancing and potlucks. He was my best friend and love of my life for 39 wonderful years. It is a blessing that he is in God’s arms now and heaven has a kind and loving angel amongst them. Rest in peace my darling. In respect to Ken’s wishes, there will be no service. Ken will be laid to rest at Belleville Cemetery overlooking the Bay of Quinte. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the Kidney Foundation of Canada, would be appreciated. Online condolences at newediukfuneralhome.com
