Beatrice Marguerite Hodgson 1932 2022

It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Beatrice Marguerite Hodgson,
age 89, of Collingwood. Marguerite passed away at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre on Monday, March 7, 2022.
Born in Linden, NS, she was a daughter
of the late Minar and Myrtle (Brownell) Wood.
Marguerite was a life long member of the
UCW. She could be found in the sugar woods and blueberry fields when
she wasn’t working as a nurse in the Springhill Hospital. She enjoyed
knitting and traveling, making it to every USA state except 2 as well
as the occasional trip to the Moncton Casino. She was a lover of all
animals especially cat and dogs but above all else she loved her
family.
She is survived by daughter Katherine
(Gregory) MacDonald of Amherst, son Michael (Susan) Hodgson of River
Philip; grandchildren Aaron, Robyn, Trudy, David, Michelle and Donnie;
great grandchild MacLean; sisters Minnie Coates and Blanche Smith as
well numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased
by her husband Arthur, sisters Edna, Florence, Doris and Lillian; and
brothers Merton, Llyod.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
W. Allen Funeral Home, 60 Water St.,

Monday, March 14th from 1pm until 2pm followed by a funeral service at
