Obituary
It is with saddened hearts we announce the peaceful passing of William O’Keefe (Bill, as he was known to his friends and family) surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at the Palliative Care Unit, Dr. L.A. Miller Centre.
Predeceased by his parents: Art and Philomena O’Keefe; his sister Mary (Ed) Greene; nephew Shawn O’Keefe and stepdaughter Juanita Cooze.
Leaving behind with fond and loving memories the light of his life for the last 35 years his devoted and loving wife and best friend Bridget; step daughter: Suzette Rice (Dennis) and beautiful granddaughters Sarah and Meghan whom he adored; his sister Loretta Nash (Frances – deceased) and brother Art O’Keefe (Elise deceased) of Placentia; Brothers and sisters in laws and their families from the Harding family; best buddy and friend Roy Hann who Bill always enjoyed a cold beer and endless friendship with. Also, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Bill was a long time employee of 35 years as a tractor-trailer driver with CN.
We would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the P.C.U. Miller Centre and the Cardiology department of the HSC for their kind and compassionate care. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Andrew Hutton and Beverly for the many years of care and friendship.
At Bill’s request cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy donations made be made in Bill’s memory to the S.P.C.A. or to a charity of ones choice.
