HAGEL Tom —

HAGEL, Tom

1949 – 2022
On February 21, 2022, Thomas John Hagel passed away peacefully in Kelowna, BC, while surrounded by love and family.
Born on July 29, 1949, Tom was raised in the Beiseker, AB area, where he met and married his wife Susan in 1972. In 1984, they moved to Brooks, AB, where they owned their own business and continued to raise their boys. Then in 1989, Tom and his family moved to Three Hills, AB, where they made lifelong friends. In 1993, Tom and his family moved to Winfield, BC, where they owned and operated the Woodsdale General Store until retiring in 2015.
Tom was a hard-working and kind-hearted man, and you always knew he was around by the sound of his laugh. Tom loved his family and was happiest when family was around. Besides his loving wife Susan, Tom is survived by his sons Shawn Levecque (Kristina), Cassidy Hagel (Andrew), and Chris Hagel (Amber); grandchildren, Ethan Levecque, Kyra Hagel, and Kayden Hagel. He is also survived by his siblings Rosalie Schwartzenberger, Delores Hagel, Doug Hagel (Donna), Keith Hagel (Beth), and Steve Hagel (Joanne).
Although no formal service will be held, family and friends will honour him, each in their own way. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice House Kelowna.
