Cunningham, Norman Bryan – 84 of Eastern Passage passed away peacefully with family by his side in the Dartmouth General Hospital on February 27, 2022. Norman was born February 27, 1938 in Montreal, QC. He was proud to have served a full career in the Canadian Armed Forces as an Aircraft Technician and Navy Diver, based out of CFB Shearwater. He was an avid motorcyclist from the time he was 13 years old, and always enjoyed spending time with his biker friends and family. He also loved to spend time fishing on his boat and relaxing with family at his cottage.
Norman is survived by his wife Macrina (York) Cunningham, sons Brian Cunningham (Janette), Darren Cunningham (Lisa Uhlman), his daughter Kimberley Doherty (Webster), daughter-in-law Cheryl Jennings, stepson Carl York, sisters Maureen Their (Jerry), Sally Cunningham (Richard), brother Gary Fraser (Dorothy), grandchildren Alicia Hartlen (Musquodoboit), Sarah Rushton (Westville), Great Grandchildren Ava (Alicia), Steven (Alicia), Chester (Alicia), Payton (Sarah), and step grandchildren Joshua (Carl), Christian (Carl) and Noah (Carl). He was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Mary (Clarke) Cunningham, first wife of 49 years Alvida (Doucette) Cunningham, and son Neil Cunningham
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Eastern Passage, at 10:00 A.M. Thursday March 10, 2022. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated by Father Gerald David. Livestream can be found on YouTube under Divine Mercy Parish Dartmouth – Norman Cunningham Funeral Mass.
