It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Evelyn Bisschops on March 1, 2022, at Health Sciences North. Beloved mother of Paul, Annette, Jeffrey (predeceased), Gregory and Dwayne.
Dear daughter of Margaret nee Debassige and Angus Ignatius Abel predeceased.
Dear sister of Ursula Abel and Simon Abel. Predeceased by Agnes Warner, Nellie Lacombe, Jesse Ryckman, Nancy Bain, Stella Robillard, Don, Sylvester, Marjorie, Paul, and Eugene.
Evelyn will fondly be remembered by her loving grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Evelyn was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. She was a fantastic hostess and people reveled in her company. She was a true free spirit, witty and loved to make people laugh. She was an avid carver and quilt maker and loved to share as many of these painstakingly hand-crafted treasures with family and friends. She always welcomed the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and was happy to teach them how to make unique crafts.
We are so happy to know that mom is free of her physical ailments and finally free to fly.
Evelyn will truly be missed by all who knew her.
