Louis ‘Nelson’ Parker 1957 2022

Parker, Louis “Nelson”
– age 64 of Canso, died suddenly at home
on Sunday, February 27, 2022. Nelson was a son of the late
Cecil Parker Sr. and Margaret (Mason) Parker. He was one of 15
children.
Nelson worked in the fishing industry all his life, inshore
fishing, on the draggers, on shrimp boats and most recently at the
Canso fish plant. He is survived by 10 siblings, brothers, Tommy
(Doris), White- head; Bill (Pauline), Dave, Steve and Johnny (Marg),
all of Canso; sisters, Coleen Bouchie (Tom), Gertie Grant (Roger),
Rita Collins (Neil) all of Canso; Theresa McPhee, Sydney; Marilyn
Rossong (Eddie), Eastern Passage; in addition he had many nieces and
nephews, many cousins, extended family and many lifelong
friends.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his four siblings,
Daisy Grover, Charlie Parker, Cecil Parker Jr., Brenda Bond and the
love of his life Donna.
There will be no visitation. Funeral service will take place
11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, from Star of the Sea Roman Catholic
Church, Canso with Father Jonathan Nnajiofor officiating. Burial in
the parish cemetery. Family flowers only please.
