Obituary of Raymond Patrick Nicholas Wade
WADE, Raymond Patrick Nichols – Age 83, Barss Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Moncton, he was a son of the late John and Elodie “Mary” (Gagnon) Wade.
Raymond was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Bridgewater. He was employed by the C.E. Chiat & Company for his entire career as a salesman, traveling much of the Maritimes. He enjoyed being in nature, fishing and working in the flowers and vegetable gardens.
Raymond is survived by daughter, Michelle Wade, Oshawa; sons, Brent, Toronto; Daniel (Marlene), Bedford; Mark (Janice), Newburne; sisters, Sharon (Keith) Allan, Dartmouth; June Cleveland, Somerset; Diane (Ron) Schwehr, Barrie, Ont.; Carroll Coffin, Quebec; brother, Robert “Bobby”, Winnipeg; many grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Maureen Ann (Feetham) Wade; son, Ross; sister, Gail Cary; brothers, Frank and Allan.
A public interment service will take place 1 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2022 in Barss Corner Community Cemetery, Barss Corner. Father Jim O’Connor officiating. Funeral mass to celebrate Raymond’s life was held 10 a.m., Saturday, March 12, 2022 in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 115 Pleasant Street, Bridgewater. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or charity of choice.
