Karen Tansem 2022

September 1955 – February 2022
A very special angel now resides in Heaven,
Our family is immensely saddened to announce the passing of our precious Sister, Karen Lee at the age of 66. Beloved daughter, sister, auntie and great auntie, friend to everyone she met and inspiration to all.
After a valiant fight, she peacefully left us on February 15th, 2022 at the Sturgeon General Hospital in St. Albert, AB with family by her side. She most certainly was placed in our mom’s waiting arms.
Karen was predeceased by her father, LeRoy Tansem in 1978; stepfather, Sandor Hegyi in 2013; mother, Margaret Hegyi in 2015; brother-in-law, David Halisky in 2016; as well as many aunties and uncles.
She leaves to mourn her loss, 5 siblings: Linda (Dale) Tillapaugh, Bev Halisky, Don & Janice Tansem, Lori & Gino Paniccia, & Diann & Paul Tansem, who will all forever cherish her memory. She will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews whose lives were richly blessed to have her as their “Special” Auntie.
In addition, she leaves behind her “Ever Loved” roommate Fay, and her LoSeCa Family that allowed Karen to thrive in her community. Karen was blessed with many “Special” caregivers, providing care, love and compassion. We as a family, will be forever grateful.
Karen lived an exceptional 66 years, as a kind, caring, gentle spirit. Her beautiful smile, tender heart, and great hugs will never be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 2, 2022 at 10 am. Venue will be published at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Karen’s name to the LoSeCa Foundation, 215 #1 Carnegie Drive St. Albert, AB T8N 5B1
Please remember Karen’s favourite color is red…

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Karen Tansem 2022..
