Nydia Delores (Brown) Davis passed away peacefully at Sherwood Park Manor in Brockville, Ontario on February 2, 2022 at the age of 90 years. Predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Dr. Lestrod Davis, and cherished by her children, Alison, Vaughn and Dr. Resa Davis. Also survived by her sisters, Margaret Rose Franklyn and Lorna John, as well as her brothers Alan Brown (Joy) and Evon Brown. Nydia was predeceased by her father, Alpheus Brown, mother Edna Forrest, and siblings Sylvia Watson, Adlith Brown and Donald Brown. She will be missed by her numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and godchildren.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, Ontario, K0E 1P0 on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11 am for visitation and 1 pm for a service in honor of Nydia Davis. Reception will follow. Covid-19 protocols and precautions including social distancing and the wearing of masks will be followed.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Brockville Lions Music Festival, and Sherwood Park Manor Patient Life Enrichment Program will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
