1952-2022
Stephen P. Cain of Nackawic, NB passed away on February 23, 2022 at
Hospice Fredericton after a short struggle with Cancer. He was born
on May 24, 1952 in United Kingdom, a son of the late Thomas and Anne
Jones Cain.
Stephen is survived by his wife Gemma Cerio-Cain; two sons
Steven-Henri and Stefan-Harry Cerio-Cain; his siblings Irene Jinks,
Kathleen Taberrer (John) and Peter Cain; a sister-in-law Yvonne Cain
and Nola Cain; his parents-in-law Simeon and Erlinda Cerio;
Gemmas’s siblings, Vita Dagami (Raul), Aster Santos (Edgar),
Rere Cerio, Francisco-Simeon Cerio (Mary-Grace) and Nieves
“Nini” (Philip) Hardy; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Tommy
Cain; and sister Patricia Todd, brothers-in-law Tom Jinks, Ken
Taberrer and Colin Todd.
Stephen was working in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait for over 20 years and
his last 14 years of stay was in Jeddah working with Haji Hussain
Alireza as their Property Manager before eventually residing in
Nackawic, Canada. He has been running his own property business in
Woodstock and was also employed in the past 5 years with Maliseet in
security.
Stephen was a great Dad with a golden heart, He was a very handy man
who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around
the house with his sons. First impressions of Stephen are of a quiet
and private person who loved his cigarettes along with a cup of tea,
but as you get to know him more you will realize his dry sense of
humor and is a person of great generosity.
Stephen travelled around the world in his early 30’s with his
best friend in life Phil Hardy who is now his brother in-law who is
married to his wife’s younger sister Nieves (Nini).
His love of writing prompted him to write three books which were
published in Amazon and are also available on his own website

Veiled in the Shadows, The Traitor within and Tango to Zebra.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, relatives and all who
knew him.
Visitation will be held at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive,
Nackawic, NB on Sunday from 2 to 4 pm. Due to government COVID
regulations, masks, proof of double vaccination and government issued
ID are required. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St.
Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, Nackawic, NB on Monday, February
28, 2022 at 11 am with Celebrant Father Martin Arputham.
For those who wish to make a donation in memory of Stephen, the family
has suggested Hospice Fredericton or to the Flewelling Funeral Home to
support the funeral costs.
