Obituary of Marilyn Helena Rowter
Marilyn Helena Rowter, 76 of Maitland Bridge, Annapolis County, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2022 in her home. Born in Kempt, Queens County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Leona (Orde) Ford.
Marilyn owned and operated the M&W Restaurant and Store in Maitland Bridge for 34 years. She was an avid gardener and loved to travel and play bridge.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Wayne Rowter, Maitland Bridge; son, Dwayne (Janice) Rowter, Tantallon; grandchildren, Caitlin (Nick) Ivory, Tantallon; Travis Rowter, Hackett’s Cove; great-granddaughter, Kennedy Marilyn Ivory, Tantallon; and brother, Laurie (Margaret) Ford, Maitland Bridge.
In addition to her parents, Marilyn was predeceased by her son, Gerry.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations may be made to the North Queens Volunteer Fire Department, 9793 Nova Scotia Trunk 8, Caledonia, NS B0T 1B0. Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Digby County Funeral Chapel, 367 Highway #303, Digby, NS B0V 1A0 (902-245-2444).
