Obituary of Marcello Favaro
Passed away peacefully at his home on December 31, 2021 in his 91st year. He will be lovingly remembered by his niece Christina Degazio (late Frank), his nephews Riccardo (Vinnette), Bruno Jr., and Jason (Linda), by his great nieces and nephews, and many relatives in Italy. Predeceased by his brother Bruno Favaro (Pauline) and by many siblings in Italy. Marcello was born in Pernumia, Italy and came to Canada in 1957. He was a long-time member of the Italian Canadian Cultural Centre. Special thanks to Dr. Scher, ParaMed nurses Dawn and Jocelyne and PSW Amanda for their dedicated care.
The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 from 10 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be celebrated following the visitation on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. in the Armstrong Chapel with Fr. Peter Walton as celebrant. Rite of Committal will follow at Mt. St. Joseph Cemetery. At the family’s request, this will be an open visitation. Those who wish to attend must provide proof of double vaccination, government issued photo identification and facemasks are required. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or to the Cancer Society.Online photos, memories, condolences and donations may be shared at www.armstrongfuneralhome.ca
