TIDMAN: Edwin Richard
July 11, 1923 – February 20, 2022
Ed lived a full life and left peacefully while he slept. To many he was a great friend, an outdoorsman, a contractor, a coach or an artist, but to us he was family. He was the head of our family and he left a large hole that we will all have to figure out how to fill. His family was his greatest achievement, his greatest pride and his greatest joy. We all made him very proud in many ways. It might have been an athletic endeavour or a work of art or an aria beautifully sung. It might have been someone following in his footsteps or pursuing one of his interests or maybe as simple as just being there. He was proud of all of us.
We are the ones left to carry on and continue to make him proud. We are and will always be his family. Betty was his wife
and partner and companion in all things, his children who all carry part of him in them are, Anne (Dave), Tom (Vicki) and
Rick (Chris). His grandchildren who made him so happy are, Katie (Mark), Tom (Katie), Ben, Kylee (Bryan), Cam (Krystal),
Brenden, Ryan (Sarah) and David (April). The latest addition to the family and his first great grandchild, Owen (Kylee and
Bryan). There will be no visitations or funeral. Online condolences are welcome. Cremation arrangements have been made through McConnell Funeral Home in Madoc. There will be a private celebration of life later this year when the family can all gather together. If desired, any donations can be made to the charity that means the most to you.
