Lesa’s Obituary
Passed peacefully away in her home on Monday February 21st, 2022 at the young age of 55 years. Lesa was born August 31st, 1966 and was raised in Aguathuna by her parents, the late Alexander and Rosalie Hinks.
Lesa was a kind soul, who loved to give and help others which made a career in nursing an easy choice. Along with her love for nursing, Lesa had an even stronger love for her family, to which she dedicated her life.
Lesa leaves to mourn with precious memories: her husband of 30 years Pernell; children: Leah (Sheldon), Scott (Brooklyn), and Spencer (Allison); and her grandson Blake, who was her pride and joy. She also leaves to mourn: her siblings: Bertha (Rick) Marche and Dwayne (Donna) Hinks. Left as well with fond memories: her extended family including: her aunt Marilyn; her mother-in-law Goldie; brothers-in-law: Stephen (Gail), Wayne (Barb), and Jeffery (Henrietta); and a large circle of nieces, nephews and close friends.
She was predeceased by: parents Alexander and Rosalie Hinks; and father-in-law Charlie.
A visitation will take place at Russell’s Funeral Home, Stephenville on Friday, February 25th from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. This will be a DRIVE UP visitation. Please line up in your vehicle and when your vehicle is in front of the double doors it will be your time to visit with the family. Please be mindful of your time inside as there are others who will be waiting to visit also. In order to attend the visitation you will need proof of vaccination along with photo ID in keeping with government regulations.
A funeral service will take place on Saturday, February 26th at 2:00 PM from St. Mary the Virgin Anglican Church, St. George’s. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Port au Port East.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Anglican Church memorial fund- P.O. Box 42, A0N 1T0.
