EZEKIEL, Ida Marie
Surrounded by the love of her family, Ida was called home by her Lord and Saviour in her 95th year on Tuesday, February 22nd, 2022. Ida was born on Bell Island Newfoundland and moved to Cambridge (Galt) in 1966. Predeceased by her husband Patrick Sr. (1987), her son Patrick Jr. (2014), grandson Craig (2000) and siblings David, Frederick, Mary, Raymond, Margaret, Mildred, Elizabeth and Frances. Mourning the loss of their precious mother are her children Patricia Hookey (Cecil), George, Diane Galway (Walter), Carol Ann Shaw (Brad), Linda Melo (Glido), Cathy Campbell (Colin) and Rosemary Lywood (Danny). She was a loving and devoured grandmother to Cathie Romeo (Joe), Scott Hookey, Shawn Ezekiel (Deana), Bradley Galway (Leanne), Rhyan Campbell (Jen), Kelly Kozak (Jeff), Chantelle Campbell (Nick), Ashley Neves (Marcio), Dr. Matthew Shaw, Eric Shaw (Louise), Kayla Eckert (Kevin), Adam Lywood (Amber) and Megan Lywood (Alan). Also cherished by her great grandchildren Noah, Alexa, Maddison, Chandler, Evan, Chloe, Dantay, Parker, Nolan, Cameron, Audrey, Malakai, Hudson, Maci, Jaxon, Griffin, Malcolm, Presley, Meadow and Khalia. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ida always put her family first and spent the majority of her life babysitting all her grandchildren. She will be missed dearly and fondly be remembered by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Visitation will be held at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, N., Cambridge on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 2 pm – 4 pm and 7 pm – 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 53 Wellington Street, Cambridge, ON N1R 3Z5 on Thursday, February 24, 2022 at 11 am. Interment to follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge. The family extend their appreciation to the staff of Park Lane Terrace who assisted in her care for the past 14 months. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to the Cambridge Memorial Hospital Foundation.
