Elaine Martin (age 97) passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022, surrounded by loving family. Beloved wife of the late Victor Martin (2019). Loving mother of the late Cheryl (late Alec) Gray, Dave (Joanne) Martin, Jim (Diane) Martin, Randall (Gerry) Martin, Chris (Mary) Martin. Cherished grandmother of 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Hazel (late Bill) and the late Shirley (Frank). Predeceased by her parents Chester and Lillian Powell, grandson Josh, and daughter-in-law Gina. Elaine was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed visits and phone calls with her children and grandchildren. Elaine had a great sense of humor and quick wit. A special thank you to Dr. Crombeen and the Bluewater Health – Palliative Care unit and the Fairwinds Lodge staff for their kindness, and the LHIN PSW’s for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. A private family service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022. Sympathy may be expressed through donations to a charity of your choice (cheques only at the funeral home please). Arrangements entrusted to Smith Funeral Home, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.
