March 26, 1935 – February 19, 2022
Donna passed peacefully on Saturday February 19, 2022 surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Kenneth S. Wood (1958-1988) and husband Harry C. Parrott (2007-2019), her brother Stuart McBride (2015), sister-in-law Joey McBride (2016), nephew David McBride (2006) and brother-in-law Bill Rintoul (1992). Donna is survived by her family Adrienne, John (Guytree), Carolyn (Joe), Mike (Barb) and Jennifer (Ian). “Nana” to Kara (Tom), Morgan, Meredith (Chris), Bryson, Jackson, Mark (Gwynne), Christina, Kate, Emily, Will and Claire. “GG” to Rowan, Leo and Oscar. Also survived by her sister-in-law Elayne Rintoul, of Wingham and lovingly remembered by her two nephews Michael and Phillip, two nieces Julie and Michelle, and the Parrott family Craig (Sharron), Nancy (Julian) and Lori (Mark).
Donna was a proud graduate from the Stratford General Hospital School of Nursing in 1957, working at Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto. Her marriage to Ken in 1958 brought them home to Clinton where they started their family. Donna was happiest surrounded by family and friends and never one to sit still for too long. Community was very important to Donna and she spent countless hours in support of her Church, Hospital and the local PC party.
Visitation will be held Saturday February 26 at Clinton United Church, 105 Ontario Street, Clinton 11am to 2pm. Please RSVP in advance through Falconer Funeral Homes Clinton www.falconerfuneralhomes.com. Private family funeral to follow visitation. As expressions of sympathy donations can be made to Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or Clinton United Church.
