Peacefully on February 19 in her 99th year. Predeceased by her parents, John and Sarah Cromie and her sister and brother-in-law Audrey and Jack Daly.Beloved aunt of Sean (Chris), Michael, Brian and Pat (Elaine) Daly. Great aunt of Laura (Adam), Michael (Veronica), Kevin (Annie) ,Claire and John. Great-Great aunt of Jack and Kate. Also survived by extended family in N.Ireland.Joyce was an executive secretary in the Truck Sales and Merchandising Division of International Harvester for 37 years. She was a parishioner of Sts. Peter and Paul Church for 62 years where she was a member of the CWL and the Eucharistic Ministry.The family is grateful that Joyce was able to live independently in her home of 60 years until 2 months ago. Many thanks to the PSW’s who provided support for Joyce and, for the last 3 weeks to the staff at Idlewyld Manor who provided such compassionate care. Special thanks to long time family friend Frances Hynes for her many acts of kindness.
Visitation on Wednesday February 23rd from 2-5 pm at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME (796 Upper Gage Hamilton). Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday February 24th at 10 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Church (50 Brucedale Ave.East). Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Ancaster.
