Cynthia “Cindy”‘s Obituary
TIDMAN (MacGregor), Cynthia Edith “Cindy” ~ 66, passed away on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville, with her family by her side after a brief battle with cancer. She was the wife of Tim Fay and they shared 24 years of happiness together. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, she was the daughter of Allan MacGregor and the late Elaine (Morse) MacGregor. Most will remember Cindy’s smile from her time at the Valley Credit Union, both in Greenwood and Middleton. She spent over 40 years in the banking industry before she retired as the bank manager in 2014. Cindy loved to spend time in her backyard, both floating in the pool and swimming with her grandkids. After retirement, she spent most summer days working in her gardens and evenings in her cottage, watching the hummingbirds. Cindy took pride in her backyard and found joy in maintaining her beautiful flowers. She was a purse and jewelry enthusiast and could often be found with a book in her hands. She loved to host her ‘famous’ chicken dinner for the family. Cindy had a contagious laugh, the brightest smile, and a heart of gold. She is survived by her husband, Tim; daughters, Lindsay Comeau (Jeff), Nicole, both of Kingston; stepdaughter, Jessica Rex (Marc), Calgary, Alberta; father, Allan, Middleton; sister, Jackie Marshall (Greg), Harmony; brother, Barry (Tammy), Lawrencetown; mother-in-law, Reen Marcipont, Kingston and grandchildren, Tate Comeau, Macy Comeau, Brooklyn Rex, Ellie Rex and Luke Rex; as well as several nieces and nephews. Cindy was predeceased by brother, Rick and mother, Elaine. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a celebration of life in the summer. Donations can be made to a charity of one’s choosing. Family would like to say a special thank you to all the staff at the Valley Regional as well as the Dickson Building at the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
