On February 14, 2022, Dave Recoskie at the age of 75 Passed away Peacefully at home with his family by his side. He leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Susan (Grant). His Children, Rodney (Susan), Trevor (Debbie) and Amy (Randy). Dave was blessed with 8 Beautiful grandchildren, Tyler (Cristine), Nicholas (Kirsten), Charlie, Katie, Matthew, Calli, Joey, Teagan. As well as an adoring great granddaughter Dixie Rose.
Pre-deceased by his parents Margaret Carey and Isadore Recoskie, and Stepfather Art Carey.
Brother to Dennis (deceased)(Dianna), Betty (deceased), Moe (Terry), Margie (Russ) and extended family Doug and Nancy Carey.
Brother-in-Law to Sandra and Joe Winder (deceased) Terry and Dianne Grant, Ian, and Yvonne Grant.
And Loved by many nieces and nephews.
Dave will be remembered for his love of boating and fishing at the family cottage, playing his guitar around the campfire and singing his favourite country songs.
Dave considered cookies to be the breakfast of champions. He was a tried-and-true Ford Man. You could always tell which house was his by his spotless vehicles and manicured lawns. He was a proud lifetime member of the Halton sportsman’s club. There truly is no one better at being an armchair sports coach than Dave.
Dave was a true family man, and always put those that he loved first, He will be sadly missed.
A very special thanks to Acclaim Health Care, especially Yda May, and Hopkins. Thank you for helping us navigate such a difficult time in our lives.
An extra special thank you to Kyle Clark for always being right there to help Dave and I with anything we needed.
Lastly, Dave will be greatly missed by his faithful little companion Libby.
As per Dave’s wishes a Private Family Service will be held. In lieu of flowers donations in honor of Dave can be made to the St. George’s Anglican Church, Milton.
