Obituary of Xavier Alexander Deveau
Xavier Alexander Deveau
Halifax
It is with great sadness that we, the family, annouce the passing of Xavier at the IWK Halifax on February 10th, 2022. Born in Halifax he was the son of Rebecca and Gary.
Xavier was a student at William King Elementary. He was a very social kid; he would spark up a conversation with anyone! He loved boat rides, jacked-up trucks, cars, four-wheelers, and heavy machines. He loved tacos, pasta and tomatoes. He was born with HLHS, so everyday was a blessing. He lived life to the fullest. He worked hard to earn those wings. He was truely a warrior. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and anyone that met him.
Besides his parents, Xavier is also survived by his Sisters, Faith Franklin and Emily Saunders; Brother Hayden Deveau; Aunt Jillian Deveau; Cousin Gabby Deveau; Grandparents Wayne and Joanne Deveau, Gennie Forrest and Great-Grandparents Alphonse and Phyllis Deveau, Hayden Hardy.
Xavier was predeceased by Great-Nan Glenda Williams, Uncle Andrew Forrest, Grand-Dad Gary Franklin; as well as his hamster, Daisy.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Xavier, by invitation only. All restrictions remain in place – limited gathering number, proof of double vaccination and government identification, with masks required and 6′ social distancing at all times.
Donations in Xavier’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Condolences and memories can be shared with the Deveau family by visiting the ‘Tribute Wall’ located in the sidebar.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Xavier

Death notice for the town of: Halifax, Province: Nova Scotia
I was so sad to hear about Xavier’s passing. He was such a funny little guy when I taught him! He made me laugh every day, and I can’t remember seeing him in a bad mood once.
My heart goes out to the whole family. I have never seen siblings look out for each other as much as Faith, Xavier and Hayden.
Gary and Rebecca, I am so sorry for your loss. Xavier was lucky to have you as parents.
