Hart, Cecil
Havelock Age 93, of Sherbrooke, passed away at
home on Saturday, February 12, 2022. He was a son of the late Louis
and Lila (Atkins) Hart. Cecil was a Merchant Seaman serving on the
Irving Dale; served with the Canadian Coast Guard for 14 years
crossing the Arctic Circle a total of 12 times; sailed on the CCGS
Louis S. St-Laurent Icebreaker; following this he was employed as an
engineer on the draggers for 20 years. Cecil was
the last surviving member of his immediate family. At
Cecil’s request there will be no visitation or funeral
service. Interment will take place at a later date. Memorial donations
may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are
under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W. Giffin Funeral
Home, St. Mary’s Chapel, 34 Main St. Sherbrooke.
