FRANK MAGASHAZI
December 3, 1944 – February 12, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Frank Magashazi at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital on Saturday February 12, 2022 in his 78th year.
Frank was born in Ajkarendek, Hungary on December 3, 1944. He came to Canada in 1950 with his family arriving in St. John’s New Brunswick on the ship Beaverbrae. The family lived in Otterville and Woodstock then eventually bought the farm in 1960 where he and his family continued to live. They started a tobacco farm and grew for many years. He retired early in life but truly enjoyed and continued his days on the farm helping his family, friends and neighbours.
Everyone who knew Frank loved to hear him play his accordion and his talent never faded. It was a real passion for him. Frank was also an avid fisherman who never turned down a trip with the guys. He was truly a kind soul.
He is survived by his loving wife Marlene, his children Micheal King (Robyn Smith Lichti), Richard King (Melania King) and Teresa Oldham (Shawn Oldham), granddaughter Adelina Blidor-King and sisters Betty (Ron) Wrigglesworth and Marlene (Robert) Greenhead. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews Greg (Katie) Wrigglesworth, Laura (Jay) Smith and their daughters Aubrey and Grace, Kevin Greenhead (Ashley Young), Colin (Crystal) Greenhead and their daughter Ruby.
Frank is predeceased by his father Joseph Magashazi (1990) and his mother Maria (Mary) Magashazi (Stalmeiszler) (2018)
