Chad J Gorham Wednesday February 9th 2022

In loving memory of Chad Jeremy Gorham
January 14, 1975 – February 09, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we mourn the passing of our son, brother, father and grandfather, Chad Gorham at the age of 47.
Loving son of Bill and Betty Gorham. Protective brother to Troy (Krista), Jay (Kaarina), and Lori (Ryan).
Chad leaves behind his greatest accomplishments in life, his children whom he loved so very much, Tristan (Emily), Taylor (Megan) and Reece. He was extremely proud of them and their individual successes in life thus far. We know he will be smiling down, guiding them from above. Chad is also survived by the mother of his children and lifelong friend, Heather Myre.
Chad was recently promoted to Pop-Pop when beautiful baby Radley was born. On the toughest, most painful of days, a visit from Baby Radley would put a smile on his face and make the pain disappear.
When Chad was diagnosed with cancer in May 2021, it had already spread throughout his body, and he was told he’d only have a few months to live. He was quick to face it head on, and set goals for himself. Always a fighter. Or stubborn, more like it. He’d meet one goal, and quickly set another. Chad decided he was going to live to meet his first grandbaby due in June, and so he did. Chad wanted family to gather one last time at camp in July, and so we did. He wanted to be there to watch Taylor and Megan get married in November, and so he was. The next goal was April, to meet Baby Sawyer and become Pop-Pop one more time. We believe Pop-Pop met his Baby Sawyer before any of us here on earth.
Chad was a fun uncle, always teasing, wrestling, and bugging his nieces and nephews Ian, Charli, Lowell, Dade, Teague, Landon and Alyssa. He taught them the proper way to fling an elastic band, how to sneak treats, build the best paper airplane and would whittle them the coolest swords. They will always remember him and his antics.
Chad was loved dearly by his Aunt Sharon (Vern), Aunt Karen (late Uncle Randy), Uncle Wayne (Cora) (late Aunt Gale) and will be missed by many cousins.
Chad wasn’t one to take the easy road, he’d challenge the norm, and, with his mischievous grin, would convince you so easily that he was right. Chad’s parents often said he had no fears. He would complete any dare with a smile on his face, and would never back down. He was also quiet, shy and soft spoken. Never one to want attention, he’d blow out his birthday candles before we’d finish singing, likely in hopes of having us stop. Chad loved fishing, playing guitar, reading and found peace being by the water. He could complete any brain teaser or math problem before anyone else which annoyed his siblings. He loved to tease, and had this quiet, witty sense of humour that we are all going to miss.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at HSN, Sudbury Hospice and the Bayshore Homecare Nurses.
As per Chad’s request, there will be no visitation or service. Son, Father, Brother, Grandfather, Uncle. Our protector from above. Always in our hearts.
