Rickey Ray Grubb – age 67 of Knoxville passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Member of Fountain City United Methodist Church. Rickey graduated from Carter High School in 1972 and then the University of TN with his doctorate in 1998. He worked for over thirty years with the Knox County School System in various positions including as a Teacher, Coach, Administrator, and Director of Transportation.
Preceded in death by parents, Claude Ray and Grace Grubb.
Survived by son Heath Ray (Samantha) Grubb; grandchildren, Hunter Ray Grubb and Charlotte Sue Grubb; brothers, Allen (Sherry) Grubb, Scott (Dawn) Grubb; special cousin, Denise Conner; nephews, Justin (Becca) Grubb, Chad (fiancé Hunter) Grubb, Christopher Grubb, and Clay Cobb; and niece, Katie Grace Grubb. As a remembrance and tribute, the family requests that you bring written stories that they can pass on to his grandchildren.
