Delaina “Dee” Ann (Humphrey) Malcolm – age 56 of New Market passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, February 6, 2022. For years, she had suffered multiple near death experiences as she battled Addison’s Disease. Dee was a fighter and could be as stubborn as a mule at times, but it was those very traits that allowed her to repeatedly defy the odds of surviving sepsis before her body succumbed to infection on Sunday. Her hobbies included arts and crafts, photography, scrapbooking, and designing jewelry which made her an active supporter of QVC and JTV; Richard called her the VIP of QVC. She loved her family, going to the beach, Cher, her Guinea Pig “Patches” and cherished her grandchildren.
Dee was preceded in death by her parents, Bobby and Joyce Humphrey of Knoxville.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Richard Malcolm of New Market; sister, Jenni (Keith) Poveda; brother, Eddie (Angie) Humphrey; daughter, Jessicalynn Ownby; son, Jon (Lindsey) Malcolm; grandchildren, Jordan Jones and Kellielyn Jones; nephews, Gregory Poveda and Gabriel Poveda; nieces Lindsey Humphrey and Hailey Humphrey; and special aunt, Wanda Humphrey.
