Mary Roy
January 18, 1926 – February 7, 2022
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home at the age of 96.
Predeceased by brothers: Harold, Jack, Leo, Maxwell and Frank; sister Alice; children Joan and Clifford; and grandson Scott.
Left to mourn are her daughters: Jeannette, Lorraine, Barbra and Sharon; son Langford; sixteen grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
Mary was a very private person who devoted her younger years to raising her seven children, primarily as a single mother. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Church, the St. Lady of Fatima Society and the Royal Canadian Legion in her early years.
The family would like to extend the special thanks to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home 4th floor for their compassion, understanding and respect during the time she spent with them, and for their kindness and compassion when her time to leave was near.
Mary’s life will live on in her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and left us with a legacy of life to be proud of. Her most loved quote was “Never Goodbye, but ‘til we meet again.”
