Evelyn May Gottschalk (neé Werthenbach)
September 18, 1934 – February 3, 2022
On February 3, 2022, Evelyn passed away at the age of 87 years, after a lengthy illness at the Drayton Long Term Care.
She was predeceased by her husband, Alfred “Al” Gottschalk; sister, Elenor; parents, Dr. and Grace Werthenbach and son-in-law, Mark Reid.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Carol Reid and Tracy (Doug) Fertig of Drayton Valley, Jim (Bev) Gottschalk of Barrhead and Buzz (Louise) Gottschalk of Kimberly, B.C. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
A private gathering of family will be held at a later date. At Evelyn’s request, a formal funeral service will not be held.
It was an honour and a privilege to have such an amazing woman in our lives.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Evelyn’s name may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
