George Peter Hetzner
(July 22, 1924 – February 2, 2022)
George Peter Hetzner of Daysland, Alberta, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 97 years.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Helen; children Marion (Stan) Kontek of Camrose; Helen’s children Marilyn (Bob) Matthiessen of Daysland, Carolyn (Doug) Bendfeld of Leduc, Sharon (Arley) Nelson of Spruce Grove, and Nan (Bill) Horne of St. Albert; 15 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
George was predeceased by his first wife Melba; son Grant; daughter-in-law Linda; parents Robert and Mary; sister Laura Pilgaard; and brother-in-law Carl Pilgaard.
Due to Alberta Health regulations, a private family service will be held.
If family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in George’s memory may be made to Providence Place in Daysland.
