Rudzianskas, Rolande Rita (nee Hamel)
Rolande passed away on February 2, 2022, at Regina Gardens. Rolande was born in Macamic, Quebec and came from a generation where she learned to sew, embroider, crochet, and knit at an early age. She excelled in all of the above. She was encouraged to enter her handiwork in county fairs. Rolande won numerous first place ribbons and best of show awards. Many people have received and treasure her sweaters, tablecloths, afghans and table runners. She loved to travel with Walter and her family. She enjoyed visiting most of the United States, Europe, Russia, the British Isles and many of the Caribbean Islands. She was an impeccable dresser with a great fashion sense. Having many friends from different countries encouraged her to expand her culinary expertise. She was an excellent cook and housekeeper. She now joins her husband Walter, her two daughters Marie-Danielle and Joanne as well as her son-in-law Tom. Her daughter Violette would like to thank the hard-working staff at Regina Gardens who treated Rolande with excellent care, great compassion, and dignity. She will be fondly remembered by Violette and her family and friends. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1919 King Street East on Tuesday, February 8th from 11:30-1pm followed by a chapel service at 1pm. Entombment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, anyone in attendance must RSVP either on the website at www.dermodys.com or by phoning 905-388-4141. All in attendance must wear a mask and practice social distancing.
