Obituary of Roy David Baldwin
Peacefully at the North Bay Regional Health Centre on Thursday February 3, 2022, at the age of 93 years. For the past 75 years, Roy has been the beloved and devoted husband of Millie (nee Bainbridge), whom he married on December 7, 1946. Proud and loving father of Linda (Roy Courchaine) of Thorold, David L. (Glenda) of Sunderland and Leonard C. (Lee-Anne) of Redbridge and the late Leonard R. He will be lovingly remembered by his six grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Hubert, Hilbert and Carl. A life-long resident of Redbridge, Roy and Millie raised their family there and operated Baldwin Bus Lines together for many years. In retirement they enjoyed travelling throughout Canada and the United States with their travel trailer. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 pm. Funeral services to celebrate Roy’s life will be held in the Martyn chapel on Saturday at 11 am. Due to COVID restrictions, capacity for the visitation and service is limited. Please confirm your attendance by calling Martyn Funeral Home at 705-472-8810 to reserve a spot. Masks are required in the funeral home, and we ask that you please respect social distancing. Cremation to follow. The family wish to thank the wonderful staff on B1 at the North Bay Regional Health Centre for the care they offered Roy during his stay. If desired donations to the Canadian Cancer Society will be gratefully acknowledged as expressions of sympathy.
