Charles “Chuck”‘s Obituary
MANSER, Charles “Chuck” Maynard – age 35, Yarmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Born November 14, 1986 in Halifax, he was the son of Bruce Manser Sr. and Louisa (Hagen) Larsen. Chuck enjoyed playing 18-wheeler games with his friends on the computer and playing his PS4. He was a big fan of the Red Socks but his biggest love of all was the sea, he worked as a scalloper and a lobster fisherman. Chuck is survived by his parents, siblings Tanya Manser, Bruce Manser Jr., Jillian Manser, Nicole Manser and Angie Atkins, as well as many nieces and nephews and one great niece. Chuck is predeceased by his sister Katrine Manser, maternal grandparents Zoey & Sigurd Hagen Sr, and also paternal grandparents, Ruby and Maynard Manser. A funeral service will be held on Monday February 7, 2022 at 11 a.m., from Huskilson’s Memorial Chapel. Please note that all attendees to the funeral are asked to use the parking lot entrance at the funeral home. In keeping with provincial Covid guidelines, attendance/seating will be limited to a maximum of 50 people (proof of double-vaccination required), with priority being given to the family. The wearing of masks and social distancing guidelines must be observed. Memorial donations may be made at Huskilson Funeral to help the family with funeral expenses or donations may be made to the Fisherman’s Memorial site. Arrangements have been entrusted to H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes, Yarmouth.
