Obituary of Fern Stewart
(nee McNab)
August 13, 1936-January 31, 2022
Fern Stewart was born in McNab Township, August 13, 1936 and passed away peacefully at the New Grove Nursing Home in Arnprior on Monday morning, January 31, 2022 at the age of 85 years. She is survived by her best friend and loving husband of more than 65 years, Edwin Stewart. Fern was predeceased by her daughters Shelley Robertson (1996) and Sherrey Krahn (2015) (Derek). Much loved grandmother of Meagan and Amanda. Dear sister of Mac McNab (Donna) of Fenelon Falls and Berna Barrie (late Lornie) of Renfrew. Predeceased by her parents Myrtle and Andrew McNab, brothers Allan McNab (Florence) and Ken McNab (late Alma) and sisters Marion McEwen (late Bernard) and Morna McEwen (late Melvin). Fern worked for Dr. Ranson at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital for many years and was known for her keen wit and friendly nature. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know her. Fern’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior. Due to COVID restrictions, events will remain private at this time however, friends may pay their respects to Fern and her family by lining the streets near the White Lake United Church, Saturday February 5th at 12 Noon. The funeral procession will make its way from the funeral home to the White Lake Community Cemetery at approximately 12:15 p.m. Spring Interment White Lake Community Cemetery. In memory of Fern, a donation can be made to the Arnprior Grove Nursing Home.
