Obituary of James Michael Garrah
Forever in Our Hearts
James Michael Garrah
March 2, 1957 – January 29, 2022
Mike lived a fulfilling life as a husband, son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend. Born to Catherine and the late Ted Garrah. He loved riverfront living, adventurous travel, patio dining, family gatherings and Zoey caring. Mike has left many meaningful and happy memories for those who knew and loved him that will be held dear to the heart. His passing too soon hopefully shows us all that life is fragile and short and should be lived to the fullest. Because Mike celebrated life, no formal memorial services are planned. Instead, he will be honoured with an outdoor celebration with immediate family at a later date. Those wishing to offer tribute to Mike’s life can make a donation in his name to a local animal organization/shelter.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of James

My deepest condolences. Mike was a very enjoyable guy to work with and was very successful in his work.
Way too young
Our sincere condolences to Leona and all in Mike’s family. It is a shocking and sad loss. Mike was a great mentor for me and a wonderful soul. I will forever remain grateful! Rest In Peace.
I live in North Carolina but I worked with Mike for many years at Saint Gobain Abrasives. I spent some time with him in Plattsville many years ago and he treated me like he knew me all his life. It was a huge loss to our company when he retired and now it’s a huge loss to everyone who knew him. RIP Mike Garrah, my friend for ever.
Very saddened to hear of Mike’s passing. My deepest condolences Aunt Cathy, Leona, Dianne, John and family. I can still hear his infectious laughter and have fond memories of Mike at the Garrah waterfront, he left this world too soon. May you find peace during this time of mourning, know your extended family is keeping you close in our hearts.
I’m so sorry to hear the news about Mike’s passing and will be thinking of the Garrah family during this tough time. I hope this message finds you surrounded by strength and compassion.
