Obituary of Frank Albert Reid
FRANK ALBERT REID (1937-2022) passed into the presence of his Lord and Saviour at home on Sunday, January 30, 2022. He leaves behind his wife Sandra (Silvester) and their children, Ruth Ann Ciesla (Joe), Andrew DavidReid (Lorianne), cherished grandchildren, Kristen (Patrick), Grant (Brandi), Hunter, his sisters Mary Elizabeth Reid, Sandra (Eric) Bissell and many nieces and nephews. Frank was the son of the late Viola and Albert Reid of Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Frank attended Scottlea Gospel Chapel. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry at Brock University and enjoyed his work as a Research Scientist at the Ontario Paper Company for 38 years, retiring in 1999. He passionately enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, boating, fishing, photography and music.
Dad bravely fought cancer for the last 18 months. Ruth Ann provided loving care assisted by PCOT and HNHB LHIN. The family would like to say a special thank-you to Sally, Alex and Ziggy for their exceptional care and support within the community to make sure Frank was kept comfortable.
The immediate family will share in a celebration of Frank’s life at the Vineland Chapel of Tallman Funeral Homes, 3277 King St. Vineland on Friday February 4, 2022.
