Obituary of M. June Wright
Peacefully passed away with family at her side at the Elden of Bradford on Sunday, January 30, 2022. June Wright (nee Nichols) of Bradford in her 92nd year. Beloved wife of the late Paul Wright. Loving mother of Garth (Marie), Stuart (Kimberly) and Linley (Pat) Campbell. Proud Gram of Trevor and Renee Wright; and Hannah and Nolan Campbell. Dear sister of Frances Patton. June will also be fondly remembered by many friends, including the Siesta Key community in Florida. Special thanks to the supportive Palliative Care Team of Southlake Regional Health Centre for their compassionate care.
June graduated from Western University in London (1951), where she had many fond memories with her Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. June was an avid player of tennis, bridge and golf. June was a recognized gardener and delivered chicken soup and lemon cake when needed to many family and friends. June was known for her involvement within the Bradford United Church; from singing in the church choir to maintaining their gardens beautifully. She was also a strong supporter of the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank.
A private family service will be held at Skwarchuk Funeral Home, Bradford followed by cremation. A celebration of June’s life will be held at a later date. In June’s memory donations may be made to the Bradford United Church or to the Bradford Helping Hand Food Bank. Online condolences may be made at www.skwarchukfuneralhome.com.
