Passed away suddenly at home in Ottawa, on December 27, 2022. Frank, in his 90th year, was the beloved husband and best friend of Patty for 60 years. Loving father of Michael (Judy) of Westport, Julie (Tony) of Montreal, and John (Laurie-Anne) of Ottawa. Special Grandpa to Eric, Alyssa, Sophie (Darren), Max, Lily, Louka and great grand daughter Margot. Dear son of the late Francis and Ivana Kavcic, of Slovenia who emigrated to Montreal. Dear brother of the late Donna (Bill) Burne and the late Veronica (Michael) Deacur of Montreal. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Frank spent his career at NRC as a science editor of the Canadian Journal of Earth Sciences, Physics and Computational Intelligence. Memorial Service will be held at Emmanuel United Church, date to be arranged. A special thank you to the Emergency Services of the city of Ottawa. Donations to the Memorial Fund at Emmanuel United Church and/or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
