KIEBERT, Peter John
It is with broken hearts that the family announces his passing on December 28, 2022, at the age of 67. Peter was born on August 4, 1955 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. His family immigrated to Canada in 1968 where he attended school and learned english. His father started a construction company – Kiebert Builders, where Pete worked beside his Dad and brothers. He later was employed by Ford Motor Co. for over 30 years. Peter is survived by his wife of 45 years, Cherylyn (nee Taylor), daughter Josylyn Stewart (Kyle) and son, Eric Kiebert (Ashley). Pete will be remembered as the biggest fan of his grandchildren, Memphis, Kharington, Greyson, Poppy and Emerson. They can be sure, he will be watching them from above. Rest in Peace Papa. Predeceased by his parents, Petrus and Maria Kiebert and one brother Hans. Dear brother of Jolanda Henderson (Bruce), Marion Ulian (Stewart), Tony (Rachel) and Rose Cantagallo (Dave). Pete was an avid Detroit Red Wings Fan. He also was a talented soccer player, having played in Holland and continued by giving back to his community, coaching with the Es Optimist Club and Es District High School. All are welcome to come and share their memories during visitation on Wednesday, January 4, 2023, from 2:00 – 5:00 pm at Reid Funeral Home, 87 Maidstone Ave. E., Es.
