WEICKER: William Angus “Bill” – passed away peacefully at home on December 29, 2022. Born November 18, 1942 to Roy & Marie Weicker.
Bill lived the first 60 years of his life in New Hamburg and the last 20 years on the farm he loved in Baden.
Beloved husband of Miriam “Mim” (Miller) Weicker whom he married 59 years ago. Loving father of Wayne (Doris) Weicker of Baden and Kim Laderoute of New Hamburg. Adored grandfather to Tyler, Keifer, Quinn, Derek, Brent and great grandfather to River, Kai, Kaede, Jayda, Amara, Sydney, Justin and Gavin. Dear brother to Barb Westrop, Bertie (Tom) Pfaff and Carol Weicker all of New Hamburg. Stepbrother to Barrie (Gil) Beech and Ken Beech. He will be sadly missed by the Miller family and special friend Georgina Davis.
Predeceased by his parents, stepfather Frank Beech, sisters Betty (Gerry) Minnie, Mary (Bruce) Snider and brother-in-law Jim Westrop.
There are so many good things to say about Bill… his sense of humour, how he loved socializing, how he had been a hard worker all his life, his love for his wife and family, his joy in spending time with his great grandkids.
A time to visit and celebrate Bill’s life will take place as relatives and friends will be received at the Mark Jutzi Funeral Home, 291 Huron St. New Hamburg on Monday from 2-4 & 6-8pm. Funeral service will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday January 3, 2023 at 2:00pm. Reception to follow in the Water Wheel Room. Interment to follow in Fairmont Cemetery, Baden.
