Obituary
In loving memory of Lou-Ann Véronneau (née Laporte) who passed away peacefully surrounded by her beloved family on Sunday, December 25th, 2022, at the age of 84 years. Daughter of the late Marie-Rose Turgeon and Ovila Laporte. Devoted mother of Marc (Ferne), Guy (Lucie), Paul (Denise), and Carole (Jean-Marc). Cherished grandmother to Bradley, Savannah, André, Patrick, Mélanie, Natalie, Jean-Claude, Raymond, Brianne, Brigitte, Stéphanie, and Danika. She will be missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Lou-Ann was also predeceased by the father of her children, Rodolphe Véronneau. Survived by her siblings Collette, Michelle, and Sam. Predeceased by her sister Madeleine and brothers Lionel, Roland, and Maurice. Her children and grandchildren meant the world to her; she loved them dearly and unconditionally. She was never happier than when she was in their presence. Among many, she is fondly remembered for her compassion, generosity, intellect, quick wit, avid reading, the joy of learning, home-cooked meals, a desire to travel, and her appreciation for all that nature has to offer.
“Her heart was brave, her soul was fierce, and her mind was strong”. The family would like to offer our sincerest gratitude to the physicians and the staff at Health Sciences North, for their care and compassion during her stay at 5 South. A celebration of life is to be held in the new year.
