John Lloyd Delany Thursday January 20th 2022

John Lloyd Christian Delany, 58, passed away peacefully on January 20th, 2022 at his home in Toronto. John was born on November 30th, 1963 to Suzanne Scott (with stepfather Jack Scott) and John Delany Sr.
John is survived by his wonderful children Olivia (21) and Quinn (18), and his loving brother David Scott, his wife Angela and their children Emily and Charlotte. He will be deeply missed by his Aunt Brenda Currie, her husband Gordon and cousins Andrea Kiss and Trevor Currie.
John was a gifted craftsman who worked as a contractor his whole life. He built a successful business with his company John Delany Renos & Restores from 1999 to 2007 where he specialized in architectural design and restorations.
With his children, John enjoyed playing shinny hockey, baseball, and going on long bike rides – often through Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. John always tried to help his children with their school assignments – even if it was advanced functions. He enjoyed the outdoors and liked fishing, swimming, and having fires at the family cottages.
John had a large group of friends with whom he enjoyed deep philosophical discussions, watching sports, and playing music. John was a skilled rock/blues guitarist and played in many bands in the Toronto music scene throughout his life.
He will be remembered fondly by all who knew him for years to come. He was one of a kind and taken too soon. Rest in Peace Johnny.
