The passing of Basil Sherman Porter of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 19, 1958 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Jane (Brewer) Porter and the late Gerald Bert Porter. Basil had a strong faith.
In addition to his mother, Basil is survived by sister, Susan Porter Norton (Al), Deborah Brewer (Allie), Dianne Porter and Carolyn Porter (Eddie); brother, David Porter (Stacey); aunt, Elizabeth Porter; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his father he was predeceased by his sister, Marguerite Lovely.
There will be no services at this time, by request; a Graveside Service will take place in Scotch Settlement Cemetery, Scotch Settlement at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
