Sijtsma)
It is with great
sadness that we announce the death of Alida Sijtsma Hulshoff who
passed away in Guelph on Friday December 16,2022 at the age of 96. She
was the beloved mother of Elisabeth (Bernard), Ron (Alejandra) and
Steve (Claudia). Proud grandmother of Mark. Predeceased by
husband John Hulshoff (1988) and by husband Richard van Heeswijk
(2018).
Our mother Alida was a
respected educator both in the Netherlands and in Montreal, Quebec.
She was a talented pianist and enjoyed participating for many years in
the ProMusica group in Guelph. She was also an accomplished
watercolour floral artist and many of her beautiful paintings could be
seen in her home on Hands Drive in Guelph. Memorial contributions to
the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Friends may call at

Guelph on Tuesday, December 20 at 10:00 a.m.
for the funeral service (no visitation prior to service) with a
reception to follow. Private Family Interment at
