Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Rita Spadafora, surrounded by her loving family on December 16th, 2022 in her 87th year. Most beloved wife of the late Domenico Spadafora. Loving mother of Ralph Spadafora and Cathy Walker, Adriana and Clemente Barbieri. Cherished Nonna to Anthony (Kamila), Olivia, Michael (Tatiana), Nicholas, and Lucas. Predeceased by her parents Giuseppe and Marianna Fortino and parents-in-law Raffaele and Giuseppina Spadafora. Dear sister and sister-in-law of the late Francesco and late Serafina Fortino. Sister-in-law of the late Concetta and late Ernesto Spadafora, the late Francesco and late Saveria Spadafora, the late Gaetano and late Luigina Spadafora, the late Elvira and late Ippolito Bozzo, Eugenio and Ada Spadafora, the late Pasquale and late Angela Spadafora, Maria and Francesco Spadafora, Angela and Carmine Spadafora, all of Hamilton and Anna and the late Giovanni Parise of Italy. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Rita was an exceptional cook, always making sure that everyone was well fed. Her legacy will live on in all our hearts, especially in the hearts of her grandchildren, whom she cherished dearly. Our most sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Hospital, and to the dedicated Personal Support Workers from CBI and Paramed. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton Street East (near James Street) on Tuesday, December 20th, 2022 from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena Church, Our Lady of Lourdes Site, 416 Mohawk Road East, on Wednesday, December 21st, 2022 at 10 a.m. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.
