With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alexander Joseph (Skipper) Gordon, at the age of 76. He died peacefully on the morning of December 11th, 2022, at the Northside General Hospital. In Skipper’s final hours, he was surrounded by the love of his family members.
Born in Sydney Mines on July 6th, 1946, Skipper was the loving son of the late Alexander and Ada (Bowne) Gordon. Besides his parents, Skipper was predeceased by his loving wife Nancy (Nugent), his sisters Betty (John) Sisnett and Sr. Ada Gordon; his brothers Bobby, Billy and John (Maurine) Gordon. Skipper is survived by his devoted son, Sandy (Lisa) and his beautiful daughter, Aimee Gordon. The pride and joy of his heart were his grandchildren, MacKenzie (Jordan), Lachlan, and Lexie Gordon. Skipper is also survived by his sisters, Theresa and Frances Gordon, and brother, Charles ‘Chookie’ (Jennie) Gordon, and his loving companion of several years, Mabel Johnson. He will be dearly missed.
Cremation has taken place. A small family gathering will be held to celebrate his life.
