It is with great saddness we announce the passing of our mom, Mary Elizabeth Pitts, 84, of Lockhartville, who passed peacefully on November 30, 2022 in the Valley Regional Hospital. Born August 25, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Marjorie (Boyd) Wasson.
Mary was a PCW at the Windsor Elms for 25 years, upon retirement dad and her enjoyed camping, fishing, and canoeing. Mom loved to bake for everyone and looked forward to autumn when she could start her pickling and Christmas baking.
Her family was her life and took great pleasure looking after her grandson, Alex.
Mary is survived by daughers, Yvonne (Dale) Vaughan of Lockhartville, Amanda Pitts of Avonport, and Tammy (Mike) Caldwell of Lockhartville; brothers, Earl (Doreen) Wasson and Gilbert (Louise) Wasson; serveral grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was predeceased by her soulmate and love of her life, husband, Richard; son, David; and sister, Madonna.
Cremation has taken place and no service will be held by request; interrment will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to the Dickson Building, Halifax (902-334-1546). Arrangements have been entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, 34 Coldbrook Village Park Dr., Coldbrook, NS, B4R 1B9 (902-679-2822).
