Obituary of Betty Ann Despard
Betty Ann DESPARD (née Gaul) passed away December 1, 2022, just 2 weeks shy of her 80th birthday. She is predeceased by her parents Rupert Gaul and Cecelia Burns. She is also predeceased by her husband and best friend Roger Despard. She is survived and will be forever missed by her daughter Nancy (Don Gosson), her stepdaughter Michelle (Silverio Castillo), her granddaughters Tiffany Smiley (Mike Gassien) and Rayna Gosson and her great grandchildren Aiden, Gwynn, Maverik and Korbin. She is survived by her sisters Nancy Kenyon (Gerry) and Diane Sabourin (Pete) and was predeceased by her siblings Sheila, Joan, Ronald, Charles, Terrance and Donald. She will be missed by Mary Delaney, her best friend since childhood. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A Memorial Gathering will be held on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 2 pm to 4 pm at Cole Funeral Services, 2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa, Ont. Those wishing can make donations in Betty Ann’s memory to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
