Obituary of Philip Aleksander Hrycak
HRYCAK, Philip Aleksander – Philip died at Bluewater Health on Monday, January 24, 2022 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of the late Nell (2017) for 63 years. Loving father of Carol Hayden, Toronto, Margaret Pate, London, Steve Hrycak (Janet), Sarnia, Murray Harrison, Sarnia, Mark Hrycak, Toronto, Donald Hrycak (Kim Robinson), Paisley and Patrick Hrycak (Lisa), Owen Sound. Cherished grandfather of Kelly & Melanie Hayden, Wyatt & Zane Pate, Mae & Wesley Hrycak and Thomas & Ian Hrycak. Predeceased by parents Michael & Mary Hrycak, sisters Stella and Mary and brothers Nick, Joseph, Samuel, Tony, Melvin and Paul. Philip retired from Imperial Oil as a Process Shift Superintendent and was a faithful member of St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Visitation at the McKENZIE & BLUNDY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 431 Christina St. N., Sarnia, on Friday from 6-8 p.m. To attend visitation and the funeral mass, visitors MUST BE DOUBLE VACCINATED AND WILL BE SCREENED. Masks or face coverings are required for those in attendance. Due to the restrictions of Covid19, a private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Bohdan Winnicki at St. George’s Ukrainian Catholic Church. Interment Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.     Uncle Philip was the family historian whose valuable knowledge was shared by many people.
    His conversations were positive and uplifting. We are thankful to have learned from his
    invaluable experiences. We will miss him.
