Angela Cecelia Haggarty, age 95, passed away peacefully at Anne Hathaway Residence on November 29, 2022. Born in Seaforth, November 9, 1927, daughter of the late William and Josephine (Gallagher) Morris.
Angela had been a member of St. Joseph’s Church since 1952. She was a 60 plus year member of the CWL and the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. Angela delivered Meals on Wheels for several years.
Predeceased by her husband Emmett Joseph Haggarty July 21, 1993. Loving mother of Bill (Carol), Gerry (Cathy), Wayne (Christine), Joanne Morawski (Chris) and Maureen Mitchell (Brent). Grama to 14 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Also survived by brother-in-law Frank Haggarty, sister-in-law Teresa Haggarty and many nieces and nephews and their families.
Predeceased by her siblings John (Rita), Lou, Joe, Fr. Elwyn Morris, Fr. Bill Morris, Patrick, Tom (Terri), Mary Kearns (Garnet) and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Ellahree Payton (Clem), Mildred Schaefer (Albert), Kaye Stapleton (Frank), Helen Devereaux (Bob), Leon, Jerome, Betty Haggarty, Margaret O’Reilly (Jack).
Visitation will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Friday, December 2, from 11 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Avondale Cemetery.
